When Conservatives are not Conservatives

Unfortunately many recently have been duped into signing petitions for Chris Cox who is trying to force a Conservative primary against our chosen candidate for the first Congressional District Randy Altschuler. The unfortunate part is that these petition walkers were identifying themselves falsely as Conservatives and many registered Conservatives signed these petitions thinking they were representing our party.

While this is not an unheard of practice, the deceit involved is very disturbing.  Those of you who are active within the party and who get the emails from our party regularly may have been aware that Chris Cox was not our designated candidate. Sometimes however, people are caught off guard when someone approaches their door and requests a signature.

The above is another reason that it behooves people to know what is going on in their own political party. Those who are merely observors in the process and who fail to get involved are usually the first ones to complain about government and demand change.

Positive change can only occur when a fully informed electorate seeks to become educated on the issues and start asking their leaders tough questions.  To simply demand change brings about the kind of overturn in government that we saw on the federal level in the last election.  People wanted something different, but they failed to listen to what the differences were and voted with their hearts and not their minds. Now the country is again in upheaval as the masses cry out again for Change.  Becoming involved in local elections is the first step in bringing about positive change and not just change for the sake of something different.

Become aware, become involved, be a part of the process not just a voice demanding solutions. Local involvement is the first step.  Send me your email address and we can help you become part of the process.

  1. Somehow I don't understand how a former Green-Party Member, turned Republican carpet-bagger who outsourced thousands of American Jobs qualifies as a Conservative. Michael Moore just called and wants your endorsement also.

  2. While you certainly have the right to your opinion if you had listened to his explainations regarding the above as opposed to the propaganda posted out there you would have a very different view. Unfortunately in politics the term "outsourcing" is perceived as sending American jobs overseas. In Business however, it has a very different meaning, since these jobs were never American jobs to begin with, the use of outside agencies to do work in conjunction with American firms is VERY common among large corporations. I suggest you review company websites such as IBM for one. This is an effective use of resources that allows the company to grow within this country giving it the ability to actually employ more Americans and keep costs low so that the company can remain in America. Outsourcing is the way American companies have been doing business for years. As far as carpet baggers are concerned may I remind you that Altschuler is THE only candidate other than Bishop who actually OWNS his own home in the district...none of the others have the roots he has here and if we are going to penalize people for moving around the country and changing parties don't forget to include Ronald Regan into that mix.

  3. Dear Mr. Anonymous,
Wake up - your litmus test is showing. Last time around, we were stuck with Presidential candidate who would have been great in the age of radio because the available people who actually had a chance and could string a few words together were divorced too much, or not Christian enough, or not strong enough on abortion. To quote a famous philanderer, "It's the economy, stupid."
Candidates with a current reliable economic philosophy are to be preferred regardless of what they used to be, who they would allow to get married, or what carpet the bag.
If we don't have an economy, none of that other stuff makes a difference. If we do, we can fix it then.
