Why I am Proud to be An American?
The reason I am proud to be an American is because I live in the home of the free and the brave. Many of my relatives have fought in wars to allow me to live in America and have independence and freedom. My cousin, Stan, is now fighting in Iraq for the past 4 years. He fights in Iraq and also Afganistan to protect our country. His bravery and willingness to fight for our freedom is another reason I am proud to be an American. Cousin Stan is in the United States Army and he works so hard all day and all night to make sure we all are safe. Here in America we enjoy many freedoms including freedom of speech and religion. People are free to choose what television show they want to watch, what book they want to read and what activities they want to do. In many countries they do not have this freedom. I am proud that in America we can do these things and more, because so many people before me have fought so hard to protect our rights. I hope we always be the land of the free and the brave! These are the reasons I am proud to be an American!
